Another month down

Make your own clipart like this @ www.TXT2PIC.com

Back when we started the process to bring Lindy home, we thought three months would be the halfway point until we received our referral; however, that was not the case.

I can't even begin to speculate how much longer we have to go. All I know is that each day is one day closer until we have another daughter.

Please pray big prayers for us. While you are praying, please pray for the people of China who have been devastated by snow and ice the past few days. Imagine a nor'easter hitting Cancun. Orphanages are operating without electricity, water, and are running out of basic supplies. Having seen a glimpse inside a "premier" orphanage, I cannot imagine the scene inside the orphanages given these severe situations. For us, it is heartwrenching...

If you're checking this blog from time to time, thank you! You are an encouragement to us.

Lisa,

I was thinking of you and Don and Lindy today as you celebrate being one month closer to your mei mei. My prayers for you today are for peace in this time of waiting and comfort in the knowledge that everything happens in His good time.

We are also praying for the devastation in China.

Happy 3 months down!!

Praying for peace and comfort for you in this long wait.

I loved this version from the Message:

Psalm 42:5

" Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul?
Why are you crying the blues?
Fix my eyes on God—
soon I'll be praising again.
He puts a smile on my face.
He's my God."

Be encouraged and know that God is in control! Fix your eyes on Him!

Sending prayers for you and your Mei Mei. Also for the people in China dealing with the devastation, it is just heartbreaking!

Hi Lisa! It's Chris Mott. I was a great suprise to get your comment on our blog. It is such a small world that you know Cristie Martini. Isn't she great! Very inspirational sister in Christ and fellow adoptive parent! We are still logged into China, but with the wait and the ages of our children we felt like God was leading us into another direction and least in the interum. We are so excited about our Ethiopian journey. There is such a need for families right now. As China was 10 years ago. I thank God for opening doors such as Ethiopia and for all the friendships he has brought us along the way. We are rich in blessings!! I am so excited to hear of your journey to Mei Mei. How wonderful! Lindy has grown so much since we met you a year ago. Is she excited about having a little sister? I think it is hard for little one's to get it. I know it was hard for Caitlin when we started then 3, but now that she is 5, she clearly get's it. Do you attend the fellowship group that Cristie runs? I have been thinking of visiting myself. It would be fun to meet up with you and Don sometime! God bless you! We will be praying for you and your new journey! Chris Mott

Lisa,
Thank you for your posts, for your encouraging words and prayers. I am rejoicing with you over being one month closer to Mei Mei. I can totally relate! Sometimes it is the little ways that God encourages us during these wait times that I am most grateful for. My prayer for you is that the God of peace and joy be with you during this time of wait and that he shower you all with his love. May he watch over and protect those children in China and keep them safe!! Embrace every moment with Lindy for your time with JUST her will be gone before you know it! Blessings, Chris

Oh one month closer is sooo good. I try to forget how long the wait is . My sister-in-law said last evening that she could have never endured the wait...I assured her that she would and people do when they know their child is waiting for them! I had a whole cluster of items for you this week and I stamped them and and addressed them and then I found them under the center console of the van this morning...they are late...very late. I'm sorry:(

Mailed them out this pm, in the meantime, please know that your family is prayed for by our family daily!
Love to you -
Heather
