Twiddling our thumbs

A lot of people are asking where we are in the process...We are waiting.
Currently, we are waiting for our I-171H. This is a form that we HAVE to have from immigration to proceed with an international adoption. Once we get this form, we will scramble to have the remainder of our documents authenticated by the Texas Secretary of State and Chinese Consulate. Then we will send our completed dossier to our agency for them to review and eventually send to China.
The "clock" isn't even turned on for us yet. We're not in line. We're not on China's radar. This is going to be a really, really LONG haul.
Our most specific prayer request is that we will see this oh so important document in our mailbox SOON!
Thanks,
D, L, & L

Happy Sister's Day

"A sister is God's way of proving He doesn't want us to walk alone." --Unknown
Not only is today Friendship Day but it is also Sister's Day--which seems quite fitting. Although Lindy doesn't quite comprehend it, we tell her she is going to one day have a little sister or mei mei. Occasionally she even talks about her mei mei in China.
As "older" parents we know we won't be around for our girls as long as we might like to be. We're not trying to sound morbid, it is just a plain fact. We know there is often a very special bond between sisters. Our prayer is that Lindy and our next daughter will always share a close relationship together and never feel alone.
So if you have a sister, today would be a great day to tell her just how much she means to you.
